Job description

​We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to join a leading Tier 1 M&E contractor. The role involves overseeing the delivery of electrical projects within commercial environments, with a focus on systems such as containment and 11kV switchboards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing complex electrical installations, experience working with quality assurance software, and a proven track record in client-facing roles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of electrical projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

  • Oversee the installation and commissioning of electrical systems, including containment systems and 11kV switchboards.

  • Regularly engage with clients, providing updates and ensuring their requirements are met to the highest standard.

  • Utilize QA software and project management tools to monitor and track project progress, addressing any issues promptly.

  • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety, quality, and environmental standards on-site.

  • Lead and coordinate the project team, including sub-contractors, ensuring high standards of performance and productivity.

  • Monitor and manage project budgets, cost variations, and ensure overall project profitability.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Project Manager, particularly on commercial projects.

  • Expertise in electrical installations such as containment systems and 11kV switchboards.

  • Strong working knowledge of QA software and project management tools.

  • Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles, with excellent communication skills.

  • Previous experience working with Tier 1 M&E companies or similar high-profile contractors.

  • Solid commercial background, with the ability to manage budgets, costs, and project financials.

  • Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (e.g., HND, HNC, or degree in Electrical Engineering).
