Job description
The Electrical Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing electrical installations and overseeing the on-site electrical teams across multiple residential projects. You will ensure that work is carried out in compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements, while managing the day-to-day operations of electrical installations on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the installation of electrical systems, including lighting, power, fire alarms, and emergency systems, on residential construction projects.
Oversee and coordinate electrical contractors, ensuring that all electrical work is carried out in accordance with drawings, schedules, and health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that work is progressing on time and meets quality standards.
Provide technical guidance and support to electrical teams, resolving any issues or technical challenges that arise on-site.
Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical regulations, codes, and standards, including the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations.
Manage the daily operations of the site, ensuring that materials, tools, and resources are available for work to progress smoothly.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other site supervisors to ensure effective coordination across disciplines.
Review electrical drawings and specifications, ensuring all installations meet the required quality standards.
Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, issue logs, and health and safety audits.
Ensure that all electrical work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards.
Requirements:
Gold ECS card
SSSTS / SMSTS
Proven experience as an Electrical Site Supervisor, ideally within the residential construction sector.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installations, including lighting, power, fire alarms, and other residential systems.
Experience in managing electrical teams and subcontractors on-site.
In-depth understanding of health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
Full understanding of current electrical regulations (18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations).
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel between London and Kent.
