MECHANICAL PROJECT MANAGER NEEDED IN COVENTRY - COMMERCIAL PROJECTS!

This role can be perm or freelance.

My client is seeking an experiencedMechanical Project Managerto join their team inCoventry, working on high-valuecommercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical engineering background and a proven track record of delivering complex mechanical installations on time and within budget. This is an exciting opportunity to manage diverse commercial projects and lead a dedicated team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the mechanical aspects of commercial projects from inception to completion.

  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure all mechanical systems are installed as per the project specifications.

  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, cost estimates, and resource allocation.

  • Monitor project progress, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and best practices.

  • Resolve any issues that arise during the project lifecycle, keeping communication clear with stakeholders.

  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

  • Oversee the preparation of mechanical design drawings and specifications.

  • Provide technical guidance to the project team and ensure efficient workflow and communication.

  • Regularly report to senior management on project status, risks, and financial forecasts.

  • Conduct site visits to ensure work is progressing as planned and is in line with quality and safety standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Must be able to use AUTOCAD 

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager

    in the mechanical sector, ideally within commercial projects.

  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and other building services.

  • Proven ability to manage large-scale commercial projects and lead teams.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Knowledge of project management tools and software.

  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and industry standards.

  • Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently.
