Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee mechanical aspects of commercial contracts, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring high performance and a safe working environment.

  • Provide technical support and resolve issues that arise during the life cycle of the project.

  • Ensure all mechanical systems are installed in compliance with health and safety regulations and quality standards.

  • Monitor project progress and make necessary adjustments to stay on track.

  • Regularly report to senior management and stakeholders on project status, risks, and milestones.

  • Prepare and review project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, and change orders.

  • Support business development and tendering processes by providing technical expertise.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Mechanical Project Manager, preferably within the commercial contracting sector.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, commercial contracts, and construction processes.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards.

  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.

  • Sound understanding of project management software and tools.

  • Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or project management.

  • Chartered status (e.g., CEng, MCIBSE, or equivalent) is advantageous.

  • A strong track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
