Job description
As a Mechanical Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing mechanical installations on residential construction sites, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. You will oversee the mechanical team, coordinate subcontractors, and ensure that projects in both Kent and London are completed on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise the installation of mechanical systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection across residential projects.
Manage on-site mechanical teams and subcontractors, ensuring all work is completed according to project specifications, timelines, and safety standards.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other site staff to ensure smooth coordination and execution of mechanical works.
Resolve on-site issues, providing technical advice and ensuring any challenges are addressed swiftly.
Monitor material deliveries, ensuring that resources are available and that installation work progresses without delays.
Ensure that all mechanical work complies with building regulations, quality standards, and client requirements.
Keep accurate records of work completed and assist in the preparation of progress reports for senior management.
Act as a point of contact for site teams, ensuring all necessary information is communicated effectively.
Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring all work is performed in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
Requirements:
Valid CSCS card
SSSTS / SMSTS
Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Supervisor, preferably within residential construction projects.
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection) and their installation processes.
Strong understanding of site safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
Experience managing teams and subcontractors, ensuring tasks are completed on time and within budget.
Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to liaise with project managers and clients.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and technical specifications.
Full UK driving license and willingness to travel across Kent and London.
Flexible and adaptable to work on multiple sites across both regions.
