Job description
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the mechanical systems and installations on our residential and commercial projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical systems management, team supervision, and a thorough understanding of residential and commercial building services.
As the Mechanical Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth execution of mechanical works on-site, maintain safety standards, and manage the mechanical team to ensure project deadlines and quality standards are met.
Mechanical Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the mechanical works on a diverse range of residential and commercial projects.
Oversee the installation, maintenance, and commissioning of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and related services.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other site supervisors to ensure that work progresses according to project specifications and timelines.
Ensure compliance with all building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure the mechanical systems are functioning as per design.
Troubleshoot mechanical system issues and lead the resolution process.
Provide leadership, guidance, and training to a team of mechanical technicians and subcontractors.
Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, to ensure optimal efficiency.
Maintain accurate documentation, including progress reports, inspections, and work logs.
Review mechanical drawings and schematics to verify installation methods and standards.
Mechanical Supervisor Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on residential and commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
Familiarity with mechanical installation techniques, commissioning, and maintenance practices.
Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and project specifications.
In-depth understanding of health, safety, and regulatory compliance within the mechanical sector.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
