​Sub Agent – Tunnelling & RC Shafts

Duration:12 months
Rate:£380 – £420 per day (Outside IR35)

A leading civil engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join their team on a major infrastructure project in Southampton, focusing on tunnelling and reinforced concrete (RC) shafts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day site operations on tunnelling and RC shaft works

• Manage subcontractors and ensure compliance with project specifications

• Liaise with the Project Manager, engineers, and design teams

• Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, and to quality standards

• Maintain accurate records and reports

Requirements:

• Strong background in civil engineering, particularly tunnelling and RC structures

• Proven experience working as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer on similar projects

• Valid CSCS and SMSTS/SSSTS

• Excellent leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work under minimal supervision
