Job description

​We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join our team for an exciting commercial development project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the electrical works on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.

  • Lead, coordinate, and supervise the electrical installation team and subcontractors.

  • Review electrical drawings and ensure the execution of the works aligns with design specifications.

  • Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor and report on project milestones.

  • Manage project budgets, ensure cost control, and maintain detailed records of work performed.

  • Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.

  • Troubleshoot any electrical issues and resolve them promptly to avoid project delays.

  • Ensure all testing and commissioning of electrical systems are completed and documented.

  • Promote a positive working environment, fostering team collaboration and adherence to project timelines.

Skills & Experience:

  • Valid ECS card

  • SSSTS / SMSTS

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager or Electrical Supervisor on commercial construction projects.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEE Wiring Regulations, Building Regulations, etc.).

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a team and engage with stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.

  • Full understanding of health and safety requirements in the construction industry.

  • A valid Electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, etc.) and 17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.

  • Previous experience in commercial projects is highly desirable.
