Job description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to join our team for an exciting commercial development project.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the electrical works on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications.
Lead, coordinate, and supervise the electrical installation team and subcontractors.
Review electrical drawings and ensure the execution of the works aligns with design specifications.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.
Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings to monitor and report on project milestones.
Manage project budgets, ensure cost control, and maintain detailed records of work performed.
Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations on site.
Troubleshoot any electrical issues and resolve them promptly to avoid project delays.
Ensure all testing and commissioning of electrical systems are completed and documented.
Promote a positive working environment, fostering team collaboration and adherence to project timelines.
Skills & Experience:
Valid ECS card
SSSTS / SMSTS
Proven experience as an Electrical Site Manager or Electrical Supervisor on commercial construction projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical installation practices, standards, and regulations (e.g., IEE Wiring Regulations, Building Regulations, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a team and engage with stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure.
Full understanding of health and safety requirements in the construction industry.
A valid Electrical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, etc.) and 17th/18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
Previous experience in commercial projects is highly desirable.
