Job description
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to manage and oversee electrical installations on a large-scale commercial project. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of electrical systems, and a proven track record of ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the electrical team to ensure safe and efficient execution of electrical installations and maintenance tasks on-site.
Oversee the installation of electrical systems, including wiring, lighting, electrical panels, and other systems according to project specifications.
Ensure all work is performed in compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and local regulations.
Monitor project progress, ensuring work is completed on time and in line with the schedule.
Review blueprints, technical drawings, and electrical plans to ensure accuracy and proper installation of systems.
Inspect electrical installations for quality and safety and make necessary adjustments to meet standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to electricians, apprentices, and other team members.
Work closely with the project manager, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project coordination and resolution of issues.
Maintain and update daily reports, safety logs, and work records.
Ensure tools and materials are readily available and properly maintained.
Qualifications:
Valid Gold ECS card
SSSTS / SMSTS
Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or Lead Electrician, preferably on large-scale commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installations, and troubleshooting.
In-depth understanding of electrical codes, safety protocols, and building regulations.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Experience in supervising and managing a team of electricians and tradespeople.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Relevant electrical certifications and licenses.
