Job description
The Electrical Supervisor will manage, direct, and supervise the electrical team on-site, ensuring that all work is performed efficiently, safely, and to the highest industry standards. This role involves overseeing daily operations, coordinating tasks with subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and project specifications.
Electrical Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and lead a team of electricians and subcontractors on commercial electrical projects.
Ensure all electrical installations are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Conduct daily site inspections to monitor work progress, safety compliance, and quality control.
Assist in the preparation and execution of electrical project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other construction teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Review blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to ensure accurate implementation of electrical systems.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, and other regulatory requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve on-site electrical issues in a timely manner.
Maintain accurate records of work performed, including daily logs, inspections, and reports.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electricians, promoting a culture of teamwork and safety.
Participate in safety meetings, inspections, and other training sessions to ensure a safe working environment.
Electrical Supervisor Qualifications & Requirements:
Gold ECS card
SSSTS / SMSTS
Proven experience (3+ years) in electrical supervision, preferably in commercial construction.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, installation techniques, and applicable codes and regulations.
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Knowledge of electrical project management software is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
