​My client are a tier 1 main contractor and are looking to onboard a General foreman for a large infrastructure and structures package being delivered in Yorkshire. My client operate nationwide and deliver schemes are the infrastructure, rail and highways sectors. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge and experience with reinforced concrete structures, FRC works and civils. 

General foreman responsibilities: 

• Working alongside and reporting to the project management team.

• Managing and allocating plant, labour and materials.

• Task briefings. 

• Allocation sheets.

• Ensuring works are completed in accordance to RAMS and job specification.

• Record keeping. 

• Supervision of subcontractors on site. 

• Ensuring health and safety compliance. 

• Liaising with the client and local authorities. 

General foreman requirements: 

• Right to work in the UK.

• NVQ level or above. 

• CSCS - Gold, white or black.

• SSSTS/ SMSTS.

• First aid.

• TWC/ TWS. 

• Safety critical medical.

• Previous experience with highways, structures or civils.

• Full UK driving licence.
