Job description

​We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and manage mechanical systems for a large-scale commercial project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, project management experience, and a proven track record of successfully delivering commercial projects on time and within budget.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the mechanical scope of commercial projects from start to finish, including planning, design, procurement, and execution.

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution.

  • Develop detailed project schedules and ensure mechanical work is completed within deadlines.

  • Oversee budgeting and cost control to ensure the project stays within financial limits.

  • Supervise and manage mechanical engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support.

  • Review mechanical designs, blueprints, and technical specifications to ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

  • Resolve technical and construction issues that arise during the project life-cycle.

  • Ensure all project documentation is accurate and up to date, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.

  • Maintain strong communication with clients and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (preferred).

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, Mechanical Engineer, or similar role on large-scale commercial projects.

  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and building systems.

  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, etc.).

  • Excellent organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and scheduling.

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders.

  • PMP, LEED, or other project management certifications are a plus.
