Looking for a mechanical supervisor to work on a commercial project

This role can be TEMP TO PERM

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join our team for an exciting new commercial development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and supervise the installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and other building systems) for a commercial project.

  • Coordinate daily activities and ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and project specifications.

  • Lead and manage the mechanical team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

  • Review mechanical drawings, project specifications, and site conditions to ensure proper implementation of mechanical systems.

  • Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and quality, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.

  • Liaise with other supervisors, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of all trades and activities.

  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.

  • Ensure that all mechanical work is completed on time and within budget.

  • Resolve technical and logistical issues related to mechanical systems on-site.

Requirements:

  • Valid CSCS card

  • SSSTS / SMSTS 

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor or similar role within the commercial construction industry.

  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems.

  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, project specifications, and building codes.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with managing teams and contractors to ensure effective collaboration and timely completion of tasks.

  • Relevant certifications and qualifications (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, or mechanical engineering certifications).

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in the construction industry.

  • Ability to work on-site and manage mechanical installations from start to finish.
