Senior Engineer – Substation Project – Carlisle

My client, a leading sub-contractor working on a major substation project in Carlisle, is currently recruiting a Senior Engineer for a 2-year contract. You will be responsible for overseeing all engineering aspects of the substation works, ensuring the project is executed to the highest standards and within budget.

Senior Engineer Responsibilities:

• Reporting to and collaborating with the Project Manager and Foreman to ensure seamless project delivery.

• Overseeing site setup, managing engineering teams, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Managing all setting out associated with the substation package.

• Leading quality assurance and quality control processes to ensure the highest standards are met.

• Coordinating and overseeing project schedules, ensuring milestones are achieved on time.

• Mentoring and guiding junior engineers and site staff.

Senior Engineer Requirements:

• Valid CSCS card.

• SMSTS or SSSTS – Desirable, not essential.

• Significant experience in substation projects.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent time-served experience.

• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex engineering tasks.

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
