Site Engineer – Rail Project

Contract Duration:12 months

My client is a leading sub-contractor working on a major rail project and is currently recruiting a Site Engineer for a 12 month project. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of engineering related to the rail works and associated infrastructure packages.

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

• Reporting to and working closely with the Project Manager and foreman.

• Site setup and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Completing all setting out for the rail project and associated infrastructure works.

• Ensuring quality assurance and control across all aspects of the project.

• Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

• Monitoring and reporting on project progress and any potential issues.

• Assisting with technical support and problem-solving on-site.

Site Engineer Requirements:

• CSCS card.

• SMSTS or SSSTS certification – Desirable but not essential.

• Previous experience in rail or civil engineering projects.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or Time Served (equivalent experience).

• Strong understanding of rail construction methods and standards.
