Job description

I am working alongside a national civil engineering contractor. They are looking to onboard a site supervisor to help deliver an ongoing project for a valued client. The scope of works you will be overseeing will include roads, drainage and kerbing works.

Site supervisor responsibilities:

Establish and monitor key stage programmes.
Set up the site and maintain site security (Maintain site hutting, hoardings and signboards to present a tidy and professional appearance).
Take possession of the site, plan and coordinate trades activities.
Apply for temporary service connections.
Interpret drawings and specification and communicate directions to site personnel, Subcontractors and suppliers.
Ensure that adequate method statements and risk assessments (RAs) are completed for high-risk activities.
Request outstanding information from the professional team and confirm all verbal instructions.
Assist with ensuring all necessary approvals are in place to allow project to progress without risk (E.g. Hording Licence).
Review buildability and identify methods of construction with commercial or programme advantage where possible.
With the Environmental Co-ordinator implement the environmental controls and work towards the objectives set out in the HSE plan (Civils).
Attend site meetings, subcontract, and internal meetings - maintain and circulate notes and action points
