Job description
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Manager to lead the electrical operations on a prestigious long-term commercial project in London for one of our high-profile clients. This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in delivering a major project, with responsibilities spanning electrical installations, health and safety management, and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and supervise the electrical team, ensuring all electrical installations meet the highest standards.
Oversee the planning, installation, and commissioning of electrical systems within the commercial project.
Ensure strict adherence to Health & Safety regulations, implementing safe working practices across the project.
Develop, review, and enforce Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all electrical work.
Monitor and manage the quality assurance (QA) processes to ensure electrical work meets the required specifications.
Liaise with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure the project is delivered on time and to specification.
Ensure the team is up to date with the latest industry regulations, best practices, and technological advancements.
Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other contractors to ensure the timely procurement and delivery of materials and services.
Maintain accurate records and documentation for electrical work completed.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as an Electrical Manager on large commercial projects.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems and installations.
Up-to-date knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
Extensive experience in developing and implementing RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements).
Relevant electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations, NEBOSH, or equivalent).
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to liaise effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
Desirable:
Additional health and safety qualifications (e.g., SMSTS, IOSH).
Previous experience working on high-profile commercial projects in London or similar environments.
Familiarity with the latest building regulations and industry standards.
