Job description
We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor with a strong background in residential electrical systems to lead and manage the electrical team on-site. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a proven ability to ensure electrical work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.
Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage the electrical team to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a residential setting.
Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.
Oversee the planning and scheduling of electrical work to meet project timelines.
Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.
Perform quality control inspections of electrical installations.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electrical staff and apprentices.
Ensure the proper use of electrical tools, equipment, and materials.
Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and practices on-site.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve any technical challenges that arise.
Maintain project documentation, including work progress reports, material requisitions, and daily logs.
Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Valid Gold Card
SSSTS / SMSTS
Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or similar role, ideally in residential construction.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit boards, and electrical codes (NEC, local regulations).
Experience managing electrical teams and coordinating large-scale projects.
Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
