Job description

We are looking for an Electrical Supervisor with a strong background in residential electrical systems to lead and manage the electrical team on-site. The ideal candidate will have excellent technical knowledge, leadership skills, and a proven ability to ensure electrical work is completed safely, on schedule, and in compliance with all applicable codes and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage the electrical team to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in a residential setting.

  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and standards.

  • Oversee the planning and scheduling of electrical work to meet project timelines.

  • Coordinate with other trades and subcontractors to ensure smooth workflow and project progress.

  • Perform quality control inspections of electrical installations.

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electrical staff and apprentices.

  • Ensure the proper use of electrical tools, equipment, and materials.

  • Ensure strict adherence to all safety protocols and practices on-site.

  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and resolve any technical challenges that arise.

  • Maintain project documentation, including work progress reports, material requisitions, and daily logs.

  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Gold Card

  • SSSTS / SMSTS

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Supervisor or similar role, ideally in residential construction.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuit boards, and electrical codes (NEC, local regulations).

  • Experience managing electrical teams and coordinating large-scale projects.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
