About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced M&E Supervisor to join our team, overseeing mechanical and electrical (M&E) operations on both commercial and residential projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in M&E supervision, a solid understanding of commercial and residential construction processes, and hold an SSSTS certification. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of projects with a high-profile client.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise day-to-day M&E operations on site, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards.
Coordinate and manage the M&E team, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring smooth operations and timely project completion.
Monitor and enforce Health & Safety standards on-site, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Review and implement Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for M&E works.
Ensure all M&E works are completed in line with project specifications, drawings, and timelines.
Liaise with project managers, contractors, and clients to keep them updated on project progress.
Carry out inspections and quality checks to ensure that all M&E works are completed to specification.
Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site issues or delays related to M&E work.
Ensure all documentation and reports are completed in a timely manner.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience as an M&E Supervisor on commercial and residential projects.
Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems and installations.
SSSTS (Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme) certification.
Excellent understanding of Health & Safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
Ability to lead a team, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with other project stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve on-site issues efficiently.
Ability to read and interpret M&E drawings and specifications.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
Desirable:
Additional qualifications or certifications in M&E, Health & Safety, or relevant construction fields.
Previous experience working with high-profile clients or projects.
Knowledge of QA/QC procedures in M&E works.
