Site Engineer – Earthworks Package (HS2 – Subcontractor)

Location: Aylesbury
Duration: 2 years
Rate: £300 - £350 per day (Outside IR35)

We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join an earthworks subcontractor on the HS2 project in Aylesbury. This role offers a two-year contract with a specialist subcontractor delivering large-scale earthworks as part of the HS2 development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Surveying using Trimble GPS

• Conducting 3D modelling and topographical surveys

• Setting out and ensuring accurate site control

• Managing site records and survey data

• Assisting with method statements and risk assessments

• Coordinating with site teams to ensure project specifications are met

Requirements:

• Experience working with earthworks subcontractors

• Proficiency in Trimble GPS, 3D modelling, and topographical surveys

• Strong background in earthworks and heavy civils

• CSCS card (essential)

• SSSTS or SMSTS (desirable)

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
